Altered Spice Rack

Altered Spice Rack

Originally uploaded by GuppyStorm

I found this spice rack in my garage. I had put it out in the yard sale pile…I saw it and had my creative juices started to flow. I knew I could clean it up and alter it to be an embellishment rack. So I did :) I painted it yellow. Mod Podged some different patterned paper on to the lids after cutting them with my circle cutter. Then as a little extra touch I added some bling to the top corners. Thanks for looking !!

Altered Clock

So after months of neither of us having a clue what to do with it. We decided to use Guppyman’s roller coaster adventure as a time for her and I to get together at her house and do some scrappin’. Clock altering to be exact. I still had no clue what I was going to do until I got there. I had these stickers for a Father’s Day LO I was going to do from like two years ago when we went to see Cars. I never got around to it and we didn’t have pics from that day anyway. Soooo I decided to use them to alter my clock for a friend’s little boy. we are driving up there to celebrate his birthday later this month and they just got a new house, and him a brand new bedroom. Anyway, I hope he likes it. I would have loved to get something made with my name on it as a kid. I know the first time lil one saw something with her name made on it at a store she said ” Look, I’m famous”…. so darlin’. Anyway, let me know what ya think… tell me if you think it needs anything else.

Scrap Duel

April 29th, 2007

Astrosprincess and I were both in a bit of a creative expression rut with scrappin’.We had both done some things but just was not real happy with our creations. We both wanted to step outside of our box and do something different and cool. So I challenged her to do a scrap lift and she returned that challenge and the “duel” was born. Here are our creations. The duel was from a sketch challenge. It was only a one pager though, so I said that the second page had to be mostly journaling. It could include pics but the focus had to be the journaling. We both chose not to add pics. We both were happy with how they turned out. this may be the start of a new way of scrapping..lol The challenge forced us to get super creative and step outside of our comfort zone.

Here are the results of the duel ( this one is my LO of her):

I Love My Dogs

and here is a pic of how Guppy modified it to hang.

4-7-07 075

* the specifics for those interested:

It actually says “I love my Dogs” but it is hard to see the smaller stickers. We put some eye hooks in the top and tied a ribbon so she could hang it. I used Mod Podge to glue the pp and pics down and then I decoupaged with Mod Podge over the pics and the top of the paper to give it all a protective barrier. I also used the Mod Podge to glue down my altered Naked Chipboard letters. I also added some rhinestones to the ribbon that I used to cover up the paper seam to make it kind of look like a fancy dog collar. I was going to use an actual dog collar but decided to “girlie” it up a bit. Plus I already had the ribbon and rhinestones so it saved a trip to the store to find just the right one. I get to indecisive sometimes..lol

Take me out to the ballgame…

Scrapbook Calendar

I also did this for the gift calendar. These pics were taken at my SIL’s house. It is Brandie feeding Sprigs his food on a fork..lol I knew I had to do a LO of this moment..lol This was my first attempt at using small pics in LO. I was pleased with the outcome and have since used them again…

Scrapbook Calendar

this Lo that I did for their gift calendar is one of my favorites. I really like the effect that I used here. I may have to duplicate this on another LO for myself sometime. This pic was taken at Grammy’s when we went over to have Thanksgiving dinner at the Terrace.

Up to …No Good

December 2nd, 2006

Scrapbook Calendar

This was a LO I did for Danny and Brandie’s gift calendar I made for Christmas this year. It was pics from us going to Grammy’s for Thanksgiving dinner at the Terrace. They were being bad and picking flowers from the bushes in the garden. When they turned around they had the flower on lil one like she did it ..lol
They were most definitely up to no good..lol
